My 2008 bhds came with a bbq gas stub but it was after the regulator and my bbq and cook stove have intagrated regulators, so I was double regulated and had no pressure. I installed a brass tee and ran 3/8 copper along the gas line and brazed it into the existing bbq stub and put a plug in the main gas line. Now I am only regulated once. The only down side is I can only use my bbq stub on the tank that the tee is installed. (I removed the tanks and purged the propane lines before brazing) saftey first. I also put a padlock on tanks as I leave my trailer in a park for several months at a time.

That works if you want to leave the regulator on the grill. I did mine a little different. I teed where the flex hose connected to the black pipe manifold(low pressure) and then ran a copper line to the side of the trailer to a shut-off and a QC. I replaced the regulator on the Baby Q with a QC to mate with the hose. The hose also had a QC on the trailer end. My new trailer already had a QC for the outdoor kitchen, so all I had to do was change my QC on the trailer end of the hose to connect to the trailer. I can only use the grill or the cook stove at one time, but that's OK.

I love the QC I don't think I could go back to the green bottles.

I hate the little bottles too, so I have a regulator and 6ft hose. If we are traveling lite I just set it up at the front of the trailer and hook the BBQ hose to one of my big tanks. I usually carry an extra 20# tank.

I couldn't remove my reg on my bbq as the temp setting is all one peice with the reg and my cook stove is the same. I plan to put an additional shut off just below tanks as it is an unregulated line. I don't make a habbit of towing with the gas on but will on long trips of eight hours or more.
