Wet steps

One thing we noticed on our new rig is that the entry door is right next to the awning edge and the slide out awning is about a foot away. When it rains, the steps get wet immediately. We removed the carpet step covers to allow the steps to dry faster.
I started looking around at other rigs to see if anyone had attempted to fix this little aggravation. Most I have asked about it say they just live with it.

I know some inventive person has solved this problem? How did you do it?

I'm interested in a solution to this problem also. I currently just live with it.

I notice the same problem, I guess we will have to slant the camper back so the water can drain off the back side.

It is not water pouring off the slide cover as much as the roll out awning is just not over the door enough to keep water from blowing in. Removing the step covers allow it to air dry quickly bit we used to be able to keep the door open during rain but no more.

Also, my slide awnings all fill up with water. Every one I saw has something to hold the slide awning up to keep it from pooling.
