1st Christmas full timing.
Our first year full timing. We just settled into our site for Dec ,Jan and Feb. We have an 8 yr old son, and I'm a bit of a Clark Griswold.
What do you guys do for a tree? We are planning on taking our dinette out and putting it in storage and use that area for the tree and train. Any reason not to have a real tree?
Hers what we did so far. Our Elf will be coming for his 1st visit tonight. Our son is so excited!

When I lived in my first rig for a year (Had to where I could date my now wife and avoid a LOT of traveling), I had a tree. Not a real one, but a fake put together tree. Did similar decorations to what you have as well. A few years later, we lived in our 2007 fifth wheel for about 8 months (building a house), and through a Christmas. That time we had a little bigger tree. It actually fit on the dinette table. Short but looked good and functional. Later, we were full timing in a fifth wheel in 2014 (Sold the house), and didn't quite make it to Christmas, but we had planned to put a decent sized narrow tree in that one as well. My opinion, go for the tree. Just makes it all the more better. As long as it doesn't interfere with yall's routines, I'd probably remove the dinette and put it there as well.

We don't full time with small kids but have a "Charlie Brown" tree that we set up when camping during the holidays.

Christmas 2014 was spent in an RV park with my daughter's family in the next site so we had to have a Christmas Tree for the 7 year old twins. So........Downsizing is the name of the game and this is what we did.
The television was still in the up position due to numerous kid's programs on the DVR.

When remodeling our house (and living in the back building ~ guest room/bath and garage) we had no room for a tree or a fireplace but our son was young and still believed Santa Claus needed a chimney to find where we lived. So ... we did the next best thing: [1] bought the biggest (wish it were a living) tree we could and put it in the yard right outside the 'living quarters' for him to decorate and [2] he built a fireplace out of wood scraps, cardboard cartons, and construction paper (for the flames) and hung his stocking. Sure enough, Santa found where he was living and it was a great Christmas!

We put our tree on the table by the back window.
We don't use a 'real tree...not worth the trouble and the effect is the same.
