EarthQuake!!!!

I went through my first earthquake here in Yuma about 3.10 AM 14 Feb.2012.

I have never knowingly gone through one before and being in a deep sleep I thought at first someone was trying to break in, but soon realized what it was. It only lasted about 20 seconds and my unit shook a little but it sure got my attention and took me some time to fall back to sleep.

Glad you made it thru in one piece. How is Yuma treating you? We are planning on wintering there next year...

We are 90 miles North of Yuma and never felt a thing. We did get hit with a few rain drops today.

I like Yuma, there is lots to do and see, plus close enough to get to Algodones for things like dental, prescription drugs and cheap Mexican booze.

There are lots of campgrounds but some have some strange rules which would cause me some concerns or banishment if I was staying there, like wearing name tags all the time.

There are lots of private lots for rent for cheap prices but not all have access to pools or clubhouses for activities. I am lucky to be on a private lot in a neighbourhood that has a pool and clubhouse so I have the best of all worlds without all the rules and regs.

If you have a smart phone and want a great weather app that also shows earthquakes, check out an app named "abc3340"

Name tags? Like a security pass? Or, the simple stick-ons that say: Hi, my name is ________________.

Name tags. It's important to have one. If someone asks your name your have a good chance of getting it right.
Hint: wear upside-down, easier to read.
