Insurance

Ok, first non welcome mat post here. Will be taking delivery of my 2016 24fbs in a couple days and just found out my auto/home carrier does not insure RVs that are full time residences.

Google shows many who do but I'd be appreciative of some real world recommendations?

thanks all

USAA, who uses Progressive for their carrier. Have had Progressive for 10 years and had no claims so I don't know how they'd do in a pinch. Since we've had no claims our deductible has been reduced to zero so that's kinda nice. We're currently paying $950/year for a 32' MH. I know your trailer would be much cheaper. We went through Hi-Sage rather than USAA since they were recommended by the first dealer. Everything else we have is insured through USAA and I'm sure you could go to Progressive indirectly through them.

I know for full timers the sources of insurance are limited. There have been others here who solved the problem. Never shopping for it myself, I can't be 100%, but I believe Good Sam was frequently mentioned as a source for Full Timers.

Enjoy the lifestyle change.
