Registering class C in new hampshire

I know alot of fulltimers register the vehicles in "no tax" our "low tax" states. I know new hampshire is a no state tax ....state. Just wondering cause we have relatives in that state. Here in ri they tax you every year on blue book value of your vehicles

Are you referring to when you renew your plates every year? Many states tax on value every year. Goes down as the vehicle gets older. If New Hampshire is a no tax state and only charges approx $10 for plates every year I would change my residence to that state. First, I would check their other taxes. Different states have different methods of getting their tax dollars.

I would not just register my vehicle at a relative's home in another state. I think you are asking for further problems. We had some relatives that registered their CA vehicle at a friends home in MT. They finally got caught and it was very expensive. You may have to pay all the back taxes and interest.

Just wondering about any way possible to save some bucks. Buying a 75000.00 class c scares me to death when I think about sales tax, registration fees etc.....UGH!

If you are truely full time you should find a state with tax systems you can live with and become a resident. South Dakota and Montana both are popular. I have a full timer friend from Oregon which has low license fees and no sales or income tax.
