Anyone at Ft. Wilderness

If so, I'm on site 1210 and the coffee pot is always 1 minute from hot (Keurig).

We will be here until 12-26 and would like to meet others that might be around.

Don't get there until 1/3, may try to drive over since we're about 6 miles away.

We won't be there for about 6 or 7 more years... Too expensive to take toddlers (in my opinion), so we will wait until the kids are at least 7 and 10 and can enjoy it.

Enjoy your time down there!!!

Don't wait, they will enjoy it. My daughter was 2 and my son was 5 when we started going. They remember. I don't love Disney but my wife grew up going so we take our kids every year too.

Just did what I think was our last time at our time share in Orlando near Disney. We flew with our 13 month old. What we didn't know is that her ear infection she had just prior to thanksgiving had not gone completely away after she was done with the meds. I think the flight made it show its ugly head again and she was back in urgent care and retreated with different meds while down there. She didn't have a full nights sleep while there, she/we were miserable. It might have been better if we had our own place to stay, but we are only 1/3 owners with my folks and sister and bil. I think its time for us to give up our 1/3 and go every 3rd or 4th year.

Thinking that the next time we will go, my daughter will be around 4-5 yrs and may really enjoy Disney. I think at that time we will bring the camper and stay for the whole experience at FT Wilderness. I know theres plenty to do outside of Disney, so if we think we are going to stay a week, is one day per park a good plan? or less with a hopper, or more?

Ahhh, memories of toddler ear infections! On one trip that involved a very uncomfortable flight, visited a reputable local doctor and he gave a prescription, but also suggested that for this type of ear infection a few drops of vodka in the ear would work just as well for less $$ - so we tried it and it was a perfect solution! Similar story - was also headed off on a trip to France while on meds that killed both bad/good bacteria and doctor was concerned about my getting the right prescription filled should I run into problems - he suggested that to replenish the good bacteria I eat plain yogurt containing Lactobacillus acidophilus ~ another perfect fix.

Talking Grumpy....

I believe that Grumpy actually lives at Fort Wilderness, and just goes to his "other" home two or three times a year!

How did this work out for you? Did anyone come by to say hi? We'll be out by mt. Rushmore in mid July if you're in the neighborhood.

I heard from a couple that were going to be there, but no further comments. I'm sure all of the activities available put drinking a cup with Ed way at the back of the priority list. If would have been fun however.

I just found out last night that we will be there in February 2017. My sister will be getting married at the park! I keep telling both of my sisters to quit spending my inheritance, but they don't seem to be listening to their big brother!

Absolutely...and no worries of a stroller.

We left our 2 year old behind when we went for that very reason. The look on people's faces at the end of the day after pushing a stroller all day....they looked exhausted.

We made our kids walk. They outlasted us!!!

Anyone try the 'Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen' yet?

DW just read out about it. It's next to the Jungle Cruise attraction and seems to be a restaurant version of 'The Adventurer's Club.'
