I will be there mid-February. Booked it based on some of the reviews I read on this site.

I'll let you know.

I've not ridden past this one. I have, in the past, almost always gone to NFS and NPS camgrounds in the Asheville area, of course I didn't have the 39' TT I have now then either. I know the area, and you should be fine getting there, the satellite maps look heavily wooded (I cannot even see the RV Park using the coordinates). I love this area so much, that my wife and I may ultimately purchase a lot to put my TT on up there closer to Boone though. I am intrigued however by your profile nickname, I assume you are in the Reading PA area? I have 4 or 5 tank tops's from running Grings Mill 5 miler put on by the Pagoda Pacers. If you like running trails try going to the "Bent Creek" area of the Pisgah National Forest, lots (miles and miles) of trails up there ... but also very popular area for mountain bikers.

We did Mt. Rogers a few years back in our popup.
Hopefully we will have the Eagle soon.
We plan on running at Virginia Beach for St. Patty’s Day. Only the 8k as I have just got off the DL.

Look at Cascade Lake Recreation Lake. It's a short drive to Asheville.

Thanks.
Plans are changing. Can you recommend a campground in the area?
Saw Mt. Pisgah CG, Lake Powhatan, N. Mills River etc.
We are still in the popup. No Jayco for this trip.
Looking forward to the trails!

Davidson River Campground

We just started camping, so haven't been anywhere to fully recommend a campground, but we live in the area. Davidson River is nice because it's in Pisgah National Forest in between Brevard, NC and Hendersonville, NC.
