Biloxi or Panama City

Just got back from a weekend in Carrabelle Fl. and are heading to Cherokee NC this weekend. I'll be chasing this little snow storm when it leaves Atlanta.

Going to take a week trip in March and wondering if anyone has any good spots in either Biloxi or Panama City? It's nice to hear from someone who may have found a nice campground in these areas. We have done the internet search and nothing really stands out. Thanks for any advice..

Sounds like you have the beach in mind. Destin has a site right on the beach in Florida but can't remember the name of it. If you like the lakes, West Point Lake is great and about due west from Atlanta. They have great campgrounds on the Alabama and Georgia shores with lots of wildlife. ONe is R. Shaefer Heard in Georgia and the other is Amity, in Amity, Al

For the life of me, can't remember where we stayed, but I think it was Destin and then also hung out in Ft Walton and Panama Beach area's. We were very near the white sand beaches. It was in the summer of 1994. That whole area is pretty!

That would be Henderson Beach State Park. Convenient to the beach, restaurants AND Walmart (right across the highway from the park entrance)

We've stayed at Emrald Coast RV Resort last year, and are going back there this march. I usally prefer "camping" in SPs, etc but the wife loves this place. Its very nice, but more like a resort than camping. Close to the beech and right next to the zoo - some site you can even hear the animals - kind of cool.

Here is the website:
