Camden Hills SP Maine

Just spent an enjoyable week @ Camden Hills SP. Great weather all week, in fact the Volunteer at Owl's Head Lighthouse said it was the best weather all year. Campground is W/E only but nice larger wooded sites. Road noise from RT 1 but really only heard it first night or so. Hiking trails through-out the park and fantastic views from the rocky ledges on tops of the Mountains. First vacation in a long time I came home thinner than when leaving due to all the Hiking. Lots of Biking opportunities also, both road & mountain

Camden Me is pricey but quintessential New England/Maine coastal town. State Park only 2 miles from town. Headed both North & South from Town to save a few $$ on seafood, of which we ate plenty. Grilled on the campfire the best Scallops I ever tasted. Drank Beer from 2 local breweries.

About a 500 mile trip from SE Pennsylvania. Followed Kim Gass's recommendations Rt. 202 to RT. 287 to NY RT. 87 to I-84 to I-209/I-495/I-95/I-295 then RT 1. Listened to an Audio book so the miles just rolled by.

Will be heading back that way next Fall, although will stay for 2 days then move more inland.
