Camp Ground Service

So our neighbors we're leaving and warned us about the sewers being slow or backing up when discharging the tanks...there was some staff riding by so I stopped them and gave a heads up and asked if all the spots we're interconnected and should we expect a problem. They told me each camper site had its own tank and leach field.

What is the most common thing out there, do all sites have own tank or are they all inter connected to a large system?

I had no problems when dumping and rinsing our tanks...happy about that!!

I have been to campgrounds that have separate systems for each site as well as a single connected sewer system.

I have not personally had issues at either but I know the single interconnected system had more issues as the staff was always battling backups and there were warning all over to not flush certain items down the tanks.
