Campgrounds in Chattanooga. Tennessee
We are planning a family vacation to Chattanooga, Tennessee for early June for a week. We were here many years ago and stayed in hotels. This will be our first camping vacation.
I have 2 3-year-old boys so swimming is a must (my DW does not like swimming in lakes so a pool is preferred). We would like to be fairly close to the attractions in and around town. I have a popup with no bathroom/shower so clean facilities that are fairly close are important.
I found these parks online:
I am not limiting myself to any particular park and would like some feedback on these or any park you might recommend.
Thanks!

We like both Lookout Mountain, Chattanooga South KOA as well as the Travel Park, which is right at the GA/TN border. Going to the area attractions from tne Travel Park was fairly easy. The South KOA is 6 miles further South. Both are nice parks.
We are not real fans of the KOA in Cleveland.

We stayed at Lookout Mountian, Chattanooga South last May. The campground was very nice and the staff was very friendly. It's a short drive back to Chattanooga.

We visited that area and found Ga. SP, Cloudland Canyon to be a gem.

Just thought I would share with you my visit at KOA West Lookout Mtn. The campground is very nice, most sites were spacious and fairly level. The site I had was a deck site so that was a nice touch. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and "how to's" and even made suggestions as to what to do while in the area. It is really nicely located to stores and about 15 to 20 minutes to the heart of Chattanooga. Sites 24, 25 and 26 will definitely be on my radar for my next trip to Chattanooga. It really is a nice campground, especially the over sized pool and jumping pillow they have for kids.
Hope you enjoy your stay at South Chattanooga KOA. I really like Chattanooga from a town perspective, a lot to do and see. If you have a chance, Sugars on Broad Street is really a great Barbeque restaurant. Would have liked to go back by there one more time before I left but didn't get a chance to.
Enjoy your stay!
Scott

Chattanooga West KOA
My family and I have been camping at this campground for 15 years. The family that runs it is so awesome and very family friendly. There are lots of things to do including an amazing drive-in theater about a half mile from the campground. It is called Wilderness Drive-In. We go at least twice a year to this campground and we love it.

We have stayed at the Travel Park. It was easy to get to, however, even though we had reservations and late check in (11pm) when we arrived our packet was gone and we did not have an assigned spot. So we were forced to drive the loop and take an open spot. I was not comfortable with this but it worked out and staff was very apologetic the next day. They realized someone had taken our assigned spot. Its a good one night park while traveling, very clean.
