Campground is beautiful! Very clean. We stayed in the Club Castaways section, has a seperate pool, bath house, and laundry room. Closer to Bay. Nice store on site. Has a small beach on the bay. Adults only bar, Seacrets, on the beach. Only problem is in the Club section, no trees! No place to get out of th sun! Need to be very careful with awnings. The wind picks up quickly. Had a small powerful storm blow through and ripped a couple off RV' s. The worst were the stand alone type. Saw about ten wrecked. The all the sites facing the bay side of the park were better for afternoon beacause it would shade your table from the sun.

Very close to Asseteague Island. Right across the bay. Park entrance about 5 miles away. National Park fee of $15 good for the week!

Sorry no picture! We forgot the camera. Just a few crummy phone epics.

We were just looking to possibly book at Lake George RV Park. How was it? Going with children age ranges 3-7.

Thanks for the review
We'll definitely go there next summer (our whole camping season callendar is booked )
Most interrested in the club section but the no trees makes it a no go for us, we've got dogs and trees help keep the 5th wheel cool along with the air.

This is our second RV'ing yearso we don't have extended knowledge on RV resorts rating. If you look at Woodall's, they have given this resort 5 diamonds for several decades and I definitely agree.
It's large, green. Beautiful landscaping everywhere you look. All paved, including the biking/walking trails. 2 ponds, 2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool, all very clean. Tennis courts, basketball courts, ball diamond.
Free nightly entertainment, great store ( I prefered their souvenirs to all of Lake George's! And their store prices on camping supplies are better than camping world)
they have staff blowing leaves/debris off the roads to keep all looking clean.
We stayed in the 400 loop and loved it. I would recommend the 400 loop and the inner loop over anywhere in the whole park. Close to the playhouse, cafee, arcade, indoor and outdoor pools.

Link to Castaways:
Ocean City Maryland Campgrounds | Castaways RV Resort & Campground in OC MD

Link to Frontier Town:
http://www.frontiertown.com/frontier-town/

Both of these are nice but way out of my price range.

They are pricey because they are right next to the resort town of Ocean City where in season hotels and house rentals are also outrageous. The campgrounds are still a value compared to them . If you want a considerably cheaper alternative there is Assateague SP campground and the Assateague National Seashore Campground just a few miles from OC, but of course they do not offer the activities and amenities that Frontier town, Fort Whaley, and Castaways offer.

Not to mention, mosquito haven!

We stayed in Berlin at a hotel a few years back for a wedding. Nice interesting little town. We tend to look for places like Assateague over the big resorts. We do stay in some but Ocean City is not that appealing.

Berlin is a nice town. Also where "Runaway Bride" was filmed.

We've been going to Ocean City since I was a young kid. My opinions on it has changed dramatically. We rarely go into OC anymore. We find other things to do in the area. Like Berlin, for example as you mentioned.

Yeah the kids love OC but its a bit too hectic for me now. The older I get the less I like crowds and traffic.

Spent an evening in OC MD back in June while camping at Assateague. Had not been there in years. Unimpressed except for a couple of Restaurants on the south end even then pricey. Boardwalk OK but not exciting and same shops over & over.
Just how many Grains of Rice with my name do I need?

Just returned from a great week at Castaways, highly recommend this campsite.

Great facilities and staff, very pristine.

I share your thoughts on OC, we spent much of our time at Assateague, as well as visiting Berlin.
