We're taking an 8 night trip to Lake Michigan side in August. Of course, at the 6 month date for reservations, all sites were taken for Sleeping Bear Dunes (Platte River) and Ludington SP. I checked EVERYDAY for cancellations/openings and was successful. I was able to secure 4nts at Platte River, but only 3 out of 4 nights at Ludington. I'm still hoping I can extend Ludington at some point. So, you never know!

Yes it does. People cancel for a variety of reasons every day so keep checking back!
