Cleburne Texas State Park

Wonder if anyone has ever been to the Cleburne State Park? I have seen a few picks and read some of the reviews. See like a nice place.

Anyone know of a particular site they like or dislike?

This will be the first trip in the new camper of any distance. We have been a little over 50 miles form home but this one is about 150 plus. Guess it is just three short trips. Plan on easing up there and not getting in any hurry. Purchased some new jack stands and hopefully this will help with stabilizing our unit.

I have visited at Dinasour Valley before and it is a nice park. Looking at Cleburne it appears to be a smaller park with the lake being the main attraction. Looks like it is nestled in the hills and the drive in has about a 100ft elevation changes getting to the campsites. I dont know how much noise the mining operation next to it will be a factor but it looks like a large site. I really have not been to many Texas Parks I have not liked or would not recommend staying at.

Same here, didn't have an opportunity to check out Cleburne SP when I was in Texas last year.

For future reference: I did spend a little time at Dinosaur Valley SP and agree it's a nice CG. At Dinosaur my favorite site is #24 (nice shade), then #18, #16, #35, #22, #9, #30.
