Has anyone been to the Destin Florida area, which rv parks do you suggest on the ocean. Would like to plan a trip down there.

Lived in Fort Walton from 90-98
Great area.
Stayed in this one just west of Destin (about 30 miles)

Navarre is little more "Country" than the upscale Destin area...
Its also on the "Sound" not Ocean

Topsail Hill State park is awesome and has full hookups with private beach. This park was formerly a private resort so it has nice large landscaped sites. Located approx 10 miles east of destin.

x3 on Topsail Camp Gulf is also nice and MUCH closer to the water, and twice the price. Topsail is beautifully maintained

We just got back from Camp Gulf on Saturday. It is well worth it, great location. It is a little on the pricey side but look at the view!

The staff was great at Camp Gulf, They have a laundry facility, two pools, a rec room, and two little camp stores along with bath houses. Keep in mind that if you want true Beach front sites you will not have sewer hook up, but you will have water and electric.

St. Rosa Sound Rv Resort in Navarre is very nice. Granted it's on the sound and not the ocean, but it's literally 3 minutes to the beach.

Have to agree that Topsail is great park. Sites are a little close together but many are separated by bushes and trees. Beautiful trails for both walking and biking. Miles of undeveloped beach to enjoy, as well as shopping and restaurants minutes away. Very friendly and helpful staff.
