First Trip Stephen C Foster GA

Went on our first trip with the new Eagle to Stephen C. Foster SP in Georgia. We had a great time! The TT did really well.

The campground was awesome! I'd give it a 8-9/10. The only thing that would make it better for me would be full hookups.

We rented john boats and got to see alot of birds and gators. Our favorite, though, was an owl that visited 150' behind our campsite every night. This was a great first trip and we highly recommend the park!

It did. It also had a standard 120v outlet.

Georgia State parks

Haven't been to Stephen C.Foster park yet, but we will in the near future. Peggy and I camp mostly in the state parks, our goal is to visit each one. We have found the ones we've been to be nice and clean. So far we have no complaints with any of them except you can't reserve any specific camp sites.

Not true of all Georgia State Parks. All those I have been too have a 50 amp and 30 amp as well as a single 15 amp outlet. Some areas are just 30 amp but most of them have been upgraded to 50 amp service.

If you haven't been to Georgia Veterans yet in Cordele, Ga, give it a try. It is really nice and right on Lake Blackshear. We love it. Good fishing also and a great fish restaurant right across the street from the park. Only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday afternoons.

Hey Norty1, the fresh meat market is actually across the street from the restaurant, but no matter. Close enough. The meats and sausage are really good! You will have to let me know when you get down this way. We only live 15 minutes from there and love camping there and fishing.
