FL panhandle

Does anyone have any experience/advice about campgrounds in the Florida panhandle?

We stayed at the Juniper Lake CD in Defuniak Springs FL in Sept 2011 for a couple of nights and found it a pleasant stay.
In Sept 2014 we stayed a night at Eagle's Landing in Holt FL and found it best suitable for a short stay. It was quiet and clean but there's not much in the immediate area.
Safe travels!

if you're military affiliated, Destin Army Recreation Area has nice camping facility. it's where we stay.

Another military place I keep planning to visit (due to recommendations) is Tyndall AFB in Panama City. As I recall its first come, first served - no reservations.

We have camped at three near Destin: in order of preference, Henderson Beach, Topsail, Grayton Beach; all state parks. We also have camped at St. Andrews SP at Panama City Beach; its a little more rustic, but with some site right on the bay.
