Last year because of the Northeaster, we left 8 hours later. Had to drive 15 hours and got to the Fort at 12:15am.

The premium site was very tight because the road is skinny (600 loop). Luckily the site in front of us had no truck, or else I don't think we could have fit in without using their space to pull forward. I don't know what we would have done at 1am.

The lesson is to get there when there is a chance that the others are there to move their vehicle. But that's not guaranteed because they might be at the parks.
