Great Weekend

Even though I full time, this past Thursday I hooked up and drove to Higgins Ferry Park near Clanton, AL for a 4 day weekend. I was with some friends that just purchased a new to them popup and this was their first trip. The weather was great with a high Saturday of 72 degrees and clear skies.
Even though I full time, it was fun to have a different view out of the windows.
It was funny when I was hooking up. I had a nagging feeling I was forgetting something. Finally I figured out what it was. I had forgotten to pack clothing for the weekend. It finally occurred to me that I didn't have to do that anymore. Nice!
The picture if the view from my site just before sunrise at Lake Mitchell.

Ed, have you camped any over at West Point Lake on the Alabama or Georgia side? That is one of our favorite spots to go, either Amity Park or R. Shaefer Heard. We spend about 10 days there every year at Christmas.

I have never camped at West Point Lake namusmc65, but I do boat there frequently. Nice area.

No check list here. If we need something we to the store and buy it. This is our primary home and our house is the secondary home.
