Heading to Nashville from MA

We are looking into a trip for September of this year. We are heading to Nashville so we can do a tour of the Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg. We are located in MA, so with a 16-20 hour drive, we will be stopping at a halfway mark. Has anyone done this trip before? Any recommendations for the halfway point and the arrival point? thanks

Do you have a route planned out yet? We went from Hudson Valley NY area to Nashville in June 2015 via I-81 to I-40. Lot of places to stay along the way, just not sure of your route.

I did it in 2010. I stopped in Gettysburg at the KOA the first day. That's about 8 hours from RI. The 2nd stop was near Bristol, VA but I can't remember the campground. Then the trip to Nashville was about 4 or 5 hours.
On the way back we traveled from Nashville to Natural Bridge in VA the first day then stayed at Newburgh KOA the second. I think I could have gone home from Natural Bridge but I wanted to try out the Newburgh KOA. I seem to think it was a LOOOONNNNGGGG way from the 87/84 junction.

Please let me know how your trip goes, after all is said-n-done! My Wife & I would love
to do the same exact trip next year.

Thanks,
Dave...

We have that trip planned for May. I81 - I40 and breaking it into three days, with the first night in Hershey, PA and the second in Wytheville, VA. Both nights are KOA for the convenience of on/off the interstate, and for the most part you know what you get. Staying at Seven Points COE in Nashville.

We stayed in the Nashville KOA on Music Valley Drive. If you want to explore downtown Nashville, parking is tough. The CG has a shuttle available into downtown Nashville.

Newburgh KOA is about 16 miles from 87/84 junction.

We booked Harrisonburg KOA for our half way to and from, and Nashville KOA for our main stop. Thanks

We are planning a trip in June from Tyler Tx to Nashville Tn. We made reservations at Nashville Shores RV Resort and Waterpark. My two sons are driving from New Jersey to meet up with us there and my daughter, her husband and my grandson will be traveling with us from Tx. The RV park looks like it has a lot to offer for a family gathering. Has anyone stayed there before?
