Huron Ohio

Hi all, we are considering a move to Huron Ohio for my job. Does anyone have any insight to the area both for living and camping? Thanks, Ted

Huron is halfway between Toledo and Cleveland, so you should be able to find anything that interests you. I'm sure you've already checked out the cityofhuron.org web page. http://www.bestplaces.net/climate/city/ohio/huron gives you an idea of the weather. As far as camping, I'm sure there are lots of places in the area.

Good luck,

Dave

I live in Cleveland. Lots of state parks that offer a little bit of everything, nice because most are one tank trips (depending on what yer driving/towing).

Put-N-Bay.. If you are looking for a get away weekend with the Mrs. We enjoy going to Put-N-Bay on South Bass Island once or twice a year. We love Island Life there. State Campground fills up quick (full hook up sites) not a fancy campground, but we look at it as a place to put our heads down at night and enjoy what the island has to offer. Not always a good place for kids, but still a great get away weekend with wineries, restaurants, entertainment.

Re: Huron Ohio

I camp at East Harbor state park quite a bit when walleye fishing. There is an awesome winery right down the road called Mona Mi. They have an all you can eat seafood buffet on Saturday nights that is awesome! If you are over that way you should check it out.
