Lake In Wood Campground Narvon PA

We are going to Hersheypark next weekend and then camping at Lake In wood. Found this place by chance and choose it because of the gnomes. My daughter, for some strange reason, is infatuated with garden gnomes and it is her birthday as well. Looks good on the website. Has anyone been here and can give some feedback. Honestly, this place looks really nice. Thanks in advance.

I've stayed here a few times. You definitely won't be disappointed. It's one of the cleanest campgrounds around. The pools are nice, there is small pond for fishing, and the entire area is very scenic. Also Maple Grove Race track is right around the corner if you have any interest in drag racing. The ride in gets a little hairy with the hills and curves but after the first time and knowing what to expect its not that bad. During the week there is a rock quarry near by which can be a bit noisy when it is running. Enjoy and have a great trip.

Agreed! One of the nicest campgrounds we have been to. The quarry can be a little disturbing, but the cleanliness of the grounds make up for it!

Just getting back. It was a great trip overall. Yesterday was torrential rains for a few hours. The weather actually called for hail and a tornado. Had a good time regardless. I still managed to get 11.9 mpg even with the hills and all of the traffic getting back to Long Island starting from the George Washington Bridge until we were back on the island. The campground was spotless and very well kept. The bathrooms were spotless as well.

Nice! Glad to hear the trip was a success! We hope to get to Lake-In-Wood at some point this season.

I believe "RV Family Travel Atlas" podcast group was having a rally at Lake-In-Wood this past weekend too. Interesting podcast if you are not familiar.

I think that we were by them. They had signs on their campers about being from a group.

That was one of my most favorite vacation when we stayed there. We were in one of the pull thru sites. I remember a great restaurant and I think it was Maple Grove something.

Hello everyone--yes, we were having our RV Family Travel Atlas podcast rally at Lake in Wood for the second year in a row. I am the co-host of the show. EVERYONE has loved Lake in Wood and we think it has to be one of the best campgrounds in the country. Super clean and great amenities and facilities. We also love that they keep their prices low and family friendly. A dollar for a bottle of water and 2 bucks for a good sized hand scooped ice cream. The food in the Gnome Cafe is good and affordable as well. The pools can't be beat. You will love it there.

Best--Jeremy
