We spent the weekend at one of our favorite parks. Texana Park & Campground is operated by the Lavaca Navidad River Authority (LNRA) and is located on hwy 111 between Edna , TX (5 mi) and Ganado (10 mi). This park was formerly operated by Texas Parks & Wildlife until it was turned over to LNRA a few years ago. The park has a little bit of everything from full-hookup sites down to water-only tent sites. You can camp right on the water or back in the Live Oak forest. There are hiking trails, a boat ramp, playgrounds, fishing piers and a boat ramp. And if none of that interests you, your admission to Texana gets you into Brackenridge Park across the highway where there are basketball courts, frisbee golf, mini golf, a fishing pond, and another boat ramp. Lake Texana is a shallow, muddy lake best known for cat fish and alligators.
The park is clean, the facilities are clean, the staff is VERY nice, the spaces are roomy, it's all around a great place to go. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a place to stay in this area.
