Week two of our East Coast Vacation:

Next Up was Seabreeze Campground Near Canso Nova Scotia


Week Three we started our trek to Grand Manan Island, NB but made an overnight at New River Beach Provincial Campground, NB

Week 3 we took the Ferry across from Blacks Harbour over to Grand Manan Island we stayed at The Anchorage Prov Park, Grand Manan Island

WOW...that's all we have to say about this place.



We went on a 5 Hour Whale watch tour with Sea Watch Tours out of Seal Cove on Grand Manan Island. We got to see 5 different Humpback Whales, Puffins, Seals and found ourselves in a large school of Dolphins who surrounded the boat.

East Coast Vacation: East Coast Tour

Heading home now after a glorious 3 Weeks, we did an over night at River Side Park and RV Campground, NB

We always stay here either heading to or from the East Coast. It's 9 hours from Ottawa, Ont so it's a good place to take a break, eat some dinner and crash for the night.

We took eight grandkids with us to Pomona Lake in Kansas back in June.









Next one was July 4. The wife really got in the holiday spirit.

Best Friend Animal Sanctuary RV Site 1 - Kanab, Utah. Some of the darkest night skies here I've seen in a very long time.....

Camp Edison, Shaver Lake, CA - September 11
You'll notice that the sky looks a little grey...smoke from the Rough Fire, about thirty miles away as the crow flies. At that the point the fire was 117,000 acres, 29% contained with 2570 personnel fighting it. We had made reservations a couple of months earlier and it was my son's 30th birthday so we stuck it out. The trailer smells like a campfire now, need to really air it out good.

This weekend @ Cunningham Falls SP in Maryland. Very nice site and met some wonderful fellow campers. Always nice to try new areas, only 3 hours from home. Also great eastern mountain type terrain & only couple of miles from Camp David.

Not as much time camping this year as DW had surgery early spring and wasn't getting around as well. Our first big outing was our favorite spot, Charleston Lake Provincial Park, ON.

This lovely orb spider build a web across the inside door of our camper overnight. DW got it full in the face first thing in the morning. Photo is next day after I evicted her to a nearby tree:

Matthews Arm campground on Skyline Drive

The camping Gods smiled when we made this last minute reservation. Someone must have had a cancellation, because we managed to book one of the best sites in park. A buddy had recommended Rollins Pond (Saranac Lake, NY) several times over the past years, and we finally decided to try it. This is now a new favorite!













This was a perfect sendoff for our dear 1007 as it turned out to be his last trip with us. Next year we start breaking in the 19H with all new adventures!
