Looking for a place in Eastern Oregon

I'm looking for a good place to camp in Eastern Oregon or Washington. Any suggestions are welcome.

In eastern Washington there are quite a few larger camping State parks. Here is the link to WA State Parks by Region - look at the North Central and South Central sections:

Parks By Region | Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission

In the North Central region we like Steamboat Rock and Sun Lakes-Dry Falls. In the South Central region we like Ginkgo Petrified Forest.

I see you are from Utah - we are planning to be through Southeastern Utah mid-September. Was through there a number of years ago on a car trip to take my youngest to university in Arizona - had a really good time and it's been on the list to get back to for a while now.

St Joseph, there's a lake and mountains, far east side of Oregon, near La Grande, my parents went there and the pictures were very nice, they enjoyed it.

Try Crow Butte Park near Umatilla, it's right on the Columbia and has hiking, fishing, swimming, etc
