Minnesota Campers/Campgrounds

I am looking to meet/camp with Minnesota Campers (or members coming to Minnesota) on this forum and find some new campgrounds here that I should visit this year.

Can someone on this forum from/visiting or have visited Minnesota that can give me some suggestions for campsites? I am not really interested in State Parks. We have been to several of them and they are not for us. We are looking for privately owned campgrounds or regional parks that provide water/electric services. If they have sewer, that is fine as well.

Any suggestions or recommendations from anyone? I sure would appreciate it!!

I know this is a very limited group, but I have some VERY good campgrounds that I can .... and will HIGHLY recommend if you come to Minnesota. Sandy and I are looking for a campground that are within a 3 hour drive of Minneapolis and have a lot to offer as far as family or great views.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and helpful!!!!

We have been to the Eagle Cliff CG in Lanesboro.(http://www.eagle-cliff.com) It was a couple of years ago but it was a pretty nice campground. We've done most of our camping out of state but with fuel going so high we may need to find good spots closer to home. If I think of any more I'll post them. I'll also watch to see if anyone else posts. I just remembered one we went to years ago that was really nice - Don and Mayva's Crow Wing CG. (http://www.crowwingcamp.com/)

We will be in Mankato viisting my parents at the end of June via Long Island NY. Then we will be joining my brother/SIL and 4 of my neices and nephews with their families and their new TT's. We will be staying at the campground right across from Mystic Lake Casino http://www.dakotahmeadows.com/ for 5 days over the 4th of July. The sites we booked you can see the fireworks from where we will be camped. I am going to pick up my parents (both in their high 80's)to join us for the last 2 days (after all they are the ones that got us into camping.) My parents will stay at the hotel on site at night, right across from the campground. (It is better than the tipi's) Should be a great family outing. We can't wait.
