Need September East Coast Advice

Hello All, For the last three years my wife, son (9) and I have camped near the Smoky Mountains in September. It has been wonderful, but we are trying to come up with something different this year. We are hesitant to change the destination, because the Smoky's are always great.

I'm interested in any suggestions somewhere in the Eastern side of the country. Although we'd love a Colorado trip, it's just too far to go. Right now we travel from Orlando to the Smoky Mountains. That's about 11-12 hours towing.

If you've got any great September suggestions in the driving range of no greater than 13 hours, we would appreciate hearing them. If we can't come up with another place, it'll be back to the Smokies.

Thanks
