New Camper almost here. Getting in one more trip. Otter Lake?

Our New Fifth Wheel due to arrive last week in October. So excited we don't want to wait till spring so I was looking up year round campgrounds and found Otter Lake in Pa. Looking to camp there in November.

Any one stay there? Or recommend anywhere else. We are looking to travel 2 to 3 hours from Central Jersey.

Any reccomendations is appreciated.

Ris

I've heard great things about Otter Lake, and we may be going there next week for the long weekend. We found out about it as a recommendation from a friend.

Great! Thank you. We may just have a small gathering there in November. Too many of us don't want to winterized just yet. Let us know how the place is after next weekend. We are looking into a pull through site.

Thumbs up

Dave and Ris,
Just getting back after a great weekend at Otter Lake. Highly recommend this place, no doubt about it. The lake was beautiful, we had perfect weather. They have a mix of all kinds of sites...Lake Front, pull through, secluded/woodsy, more populated areas (for groups), etc. They pretty much have it all. The sites are well groomed with crushed stone, fire pit, and picnic table. Our pull through spot was paved...very level left to right...and the tongue jack took care of front to back. It was a easy set up. We did not have sewage, so that was a little downer (our gray water tank filled up quick)...but we booked very late, we had to take the last one that was available. We cruised around the whole place to look at all the sites...didn't really see any bad ones, would probably take the same one that we got this time "S1" since it had a little more real estate, being on the end. They have a ton of seasonal/permanent sites, mostly in the back half of the campground. Everything is kept nice, nothing in dis-repair. Bathhouses were in good shape and there are lots of them. Lots of dumpsters for trash. Lots of activities. Boats to rent, etc. The indoor pool was nice...kids liked that. All in all, we loved it. Let me know if you have any other questions. We will go back, for sure. Here are a few pics

I just answered another thread concerning Otter lake but I'll sum it up here. We just bought our first TT in September, went up for a last weekend of camping, decided to buy a winter seasonal and go camping as much as we can from 1 Nov - 1 Apr. We loved the place. There's lots of snowmobiling, skiing is only 15-20 minutes away, friends of ours convinced us to take the plunge. I figured why not because the other choice was to park it in the yard and not go camping.
