Orlando Disney for adults

Guys I need your input. Ill be in Orlando in Feb for the whole month at the lake magic resort in clermont to be more precised. I was looking at the Disney site and man o man its not cheap there

Now we are 2 adults 56 and 51. What is a must see there ? I was thinking about epcot and Hollywood studio, is this a good pick for two old farts ? If not go ahead with your suggestions

Thanks

Btw Ill be in vero beach in march, what about cape canaveral ? Is this something we should visit ?

I was 65 and boss was 61 when we went during 2010 Christmas week. Started with tickets for 2 days - ended up going 6 days. Took our time - took breaks and had a blast. Every ride and every show including kid shows. I'm 70 now and it's getting close to time to do it again because they got new stuff. It's all good(well except for the rude folks but they are every where in todays world .

I would suggest Epcot and Magic Kingdom.

Epcot is more geared for adults and Magic Kingdom is just Classic Disney. I don't care for Holywood Studio, but we do really like the Animal Kingdom.

You can pretty much find enjoyment and entertainment at any of the parks. We were older than you two when my wife and I went. I would agree with clubhouse. Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Magic Kingdom for adults, in that order. But we found Hollywood Studio great fun too. Lots of things to appeal to various ages at all the parks. Magic Kingdom, in particular will bring back Disney memories from your childhood. I would suggest a day at each park.

And yes, definitely go to Cape Canaveral. It is kinda like Disney...only it is REAL!

As mentioned above: MK, AK and EPCOT skip HS.

Disney does a pretty good job of making sure that each park has something for every age. They also are good at taking your money too, but when I go, I try to forget about that part and just have fun.

I'm a bit younger with 2 kids though. Wife and I went a few times before kids and few times after kids. Experiences were much different, but both were fun. We are normally there for 6 days when we go. Never had a bad time!

We've gone to Disney quite a few times over the years so last year when we booked Ft. Wilderness (for 2 weeks) to kick off our snow birds season we decided not go go into the theme parks. What we did was each day we booked either a breakfast, lunch or dinner at one of the resorts or Down Town Disney. Transportation was free since we stayed in the campground and we had a great time. Each night we took chairs, a hot cup of coffee and snacks and went down to the dock and watched the fireworks. We saved a lot of money and enjoyed it just as much. Just a though. Either way have a great time.

We go to Orlando alternate years (have a couple of timeshares there - our TT is in storage for the winter) and have done it all. All of the Disney parks are worth doing, although Hollywood Studios is probably the least exciting. Universal Studios has been much more on our agenda in the past few years. But even in my mid-fifties I'm still a coaster and thrill ride junkie. If you want the best deal on tickets look up Undercover Tourist site.
Suggest you also consider a trip to Blue Spring SP to see the Manatee if they are still in (should be in early February). And take their boat tour on the St John's. Well worth it, and you can skirt north of Orlando over L. Apopka missing all the traffic.
Plan at least one day trip to the Gulf coast too. We love the beach at Siesta Key (one of America's top beaches according to TripAdvisor).
Some of the best information on the area by regular folks is on "disboards"; mostly Disney, but check out their forum on offsite attractions and Universal to see the other side of the area.

As adults one of the best things we did was a behind the scenes tour. You will get a whole new respect for the Industry that Disney is and the crazy technology they are constantly inventing and implementing. The magic bands they use for access is in it's infancy as far as potential goes…..
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/ev...-kingdom-tour/

I would go back tomorrow and just do behind the scenes tours of all the resorts they are so interesting.

Ross..

Just Disney and Epcot for us. First 4 days we never had to stand in line for any rides so we did most of the rides those days because we were warned by workers the crowd was not expected to hit until Thursday. It did but a friend who works there said the numbers were down by at least 25% even then. Fireworks and special Christmas extras were great at night. We were there till they said you gotta go every night but one.

Smile Adults...?

Good grief! They're no adults at Disney World!

If you can, get your tickets / passes at AAA! They saved us 800.00, got us free Park Hopper passes, and an extra day, free!

We stayed at Fort Wilderness, pigged out at the Trails End Cafe buffet, and other than sore feet, acted like we were in our teens again (we're 66 and 68). The best part of the Park Hopper passes was Epcot in the morning, then nap, then Typhoon Lagoon, and back to the campground for dinner and the Electric Light Show at the lagoon... typical day.

Whatever else, have fun and be safe!

Visiting when you will, the parks will be 'steady', but tolerable. Thanksgiving week/weekend, and Christmas through New Year's is when I wouldn't be caught dead in any Florida theme park.

And when you're over at the coast, by all means visit the Kennedy Space Center and take the bus tour. Impressive stuff and the Shuttle Atlantis is on display at the Visitors Center. Awesome.
