This has probably been done before but we live in western Washington and are looking for some fun spots to take our new Whitehawk 29SQB. Shout out your favorites!

We go to the state parks quite often. Deception pass and larrabee are nice. We are going to try rasar as well this year.

Grayland Beach State Park/Westport; Pacific Beach State Park/Ocean City (great kite flying); Bayview State Park/Anacortes; Rasar/Concrete. Newhalem/N Cascades NP. Many Forest Service campgrounds up near Verlot...Gold Basin & Red Bridge in particular you should be able to get into.

Last summer we stayed in La Conner, Wa, at La Conner RV, very nice place, sits right on Skagit Bay in the northern puegot sound. Just a few miles from Anacortes and access to the ferries to the San Juan Islands.

We went and spent a day at Friday Harbor and along the west of San Juan Island at Haro Strait, we went on a whale watching tour to see the orcas,

From the camp site, we went crabbing in the bay and caught 36+ crabs, and spent time kayaking in the bay, there is so much to do and see, it will go down as one of my favorite camp destinations, the kids loved it.

Not sure where you are in Washington - but lots of good options everywhere! In the early and later season (when the west-side is cold and rainy), we like to head over the pass to Eastern Washington. Over there, we like Wenatchee Confluence, Potholes, and Lincoln Rock.

On the west side, we stay at Alder Lake (closest to home, so good for short stays), Ike Kinswa, all of the Tacoma Power Parks are very nice, Belfair, American Heritage (private campground near Olympia). Deception Pass State Park is a really cool area to explore - we've ended up staying at a private campground nearby (can't remember the name, but just outside of Anacortes) due to the limited number of sites that fit our size RV in the State Park.

I think you are referring to a park called Pioneer Trails, there is a thread on it and members were quite happy staying there.

Great suggestions KachFam! I live in the area too(Yelm). For Spring break we went to the Military Resort at Pacific Beach, besides the rain we had a blast with day trips to Ocean Shores. We are planning for a Medical Lake(Spokane) trip, and trips to multnomah falls and Crater Lake. Our Hawks are going to be great in 2013!!!!!

We head out on May 15th, check our Trip Journal itinerary in our sig., and plan on arriving on the Oregon coast on the 20th. Will work our way up the coast and will get to the Washington coast in late June.

Looking for places up that way also before moving inland to Idaho and Yellowstone.

Keep the suggestions coming.

Stayed at Taidnapam last week and really enjoyed it! We had two huge and very nice sites and great weather.

For Mariners/hawks games I'm not too sure where the closest place would be. It might be cool to stay at Millersylvania near Port Orchard and ride the ferry across (kind of an adventure that way). Dash Point is another nice park about 1/2 hr away. I'm a bit less familiar with the options to the north... I've heard Snohomish County Parks are nice for camping or maybe a similar ferry-ride adventure from one of the Whidbey Island parks.

Getting ready to book 2 trips for the month of June!

You could cross the boarder and go up to Whistler. Lots of hiking and biking trails. They have a RV park north of the townsite. We go to Leavenworth in Wa. It is a great area to RV. Bend Ore. is another favorite. Drive from there to Crater Lake. Seaside Ore. is another great place for a holiday. Canon Beach is close by.

Does anyone have any good boondocking sites for larger trailers (ours is 33' overall). I know tons of spots for smaller trailers, but not many for a trailer our size. It looks like eastern Washington would be better...

We bought our Whitehawk in February, and today I learned from the salesman(a family friend) that I was suposed to get a Thousand Trails 1 Year membership. So I am filling the application out, any information about Washington/ Oregon Thousand Trails locations?
