Parking and sight seeing

Looking over our summer trip from Texas to Maine we are considering more short stops during the day and boondocking a few nights on the road in parking lots.

How easy and available is parking a TT for example if visiting a general area like downtown Nashville? Using that as an example if we arrived at say 10am and planned to stay until 6 or 7 pm? Specific destinations are easy enough to check but general areas, cities, etc. are a little trickier.

I have used large supermarket parking lots, hospital and a few motel lots. All of these were on bus lines so we could get into town. Check out boat launch parking lots also many of them have signs that say ( No Overnight RV Parking) so that's perfect for your daytime use. Some Fairgrounds allow parking also. Don't forget Lowe's and HomeDepot just ask the Mgr. and you should be OK, mall parking lots are another favorite of mine.

Thank you.

We were very comfortable doing almost no advance planning when we were throwing a tent in the truck. We did a little more with our old pop up. Now I feel the need to anticipate everything and plan for it. I'm hoping that goes away.

Be aware some parking lots you may not be able to get out of till after the store closes. (happened to me at Costco)
