We spent this past weekend camping at Pechanga RV Resort in Temecula. Had a great time! The place was very crowded, almost all spots were taken. Apparently there was a BBQ competition going on that we didn't know about until we arrived! We were in spot E-5 and we had a lot of fun. The people were all very friendly, and there is a shuttle that runs (on demand) 24 hours a day between the campground and casino. The campground is kid friendly to a point. There's no real playground, but there is a pool and it was seeing pretty heavy use with all the rigs there. Lots of folks walking their dogs and chatting with other campers. It's a resort-type campground, so you're parking on a concrete pad with grass in between the spaces. Not for those who crave off-the-grid rustic style camping. The casino is just like you'd find in Vegas, though they do allow smoking so I guess it's like you'd find in Vegas back in the day. I'm certainly no connoisseur but there are many wineries in the Temecula area for those who enjoy wine tasting. All in all it was a lot of fun.
This was the first weekend trip in the new rig, and this Saturday we're taking the trailer back to the dealer to get the list of issues we discovered fixed. Hopefully they can do it all in a week since we'll be heading to Reno in mid-July. Of course I'll report from that campground when we get there!
