Pioneer Trails near Anacortes, WA

We just spent the weekend at Pioneer Trails RV park. It was great! The staff was the friendliest I've ever encountered. Super friendly at check in, then got shown to our spot and help getting into it. Staff delivered firewood to the site (and it wasn't over priced).

This park is a mix of sunny and shade, big and small, and treed or gravel sites. We had a really nice one, but some were smaller or tighter.

All the amenities were great, the wifi even worked about 90% of the time.

Our kids played at the playground. Our dog enjoyed the off leash area.

The only two things that would make the park better is online reservations and maybe a pool. Otherwise, a great park. We'll be going again.

Good to hear about this spot, we will check it out. Heading to Lake Tyee next weekend and Larrabee State park two weeks after that.

Spent three nights at this campground this last weekend. One of the nicer campgrounds we have been to this year. Would definitely stay here again.

We went back again for Memorial day. Very nice park, very nice people running it. We'll be going back.

Pioneer Trails is only 3 miles from home, but twice we have had our "shakedown trips" there with each of our new Greyhawks. Lovely park, we just wish it were farther away!

We stayed there a few weeks ago and also had a great experience. We wanted to get into Deception Pass, but there were no spots suitable for our trailer left (just driving through the loop is a bit of a chore...). Another similar place (even a bit "woodsier) is American Heritage near Olympia. They have a pool and hay rides for the kids in the evening! I'd like to find more private parks with a nice (not "parking lot") atmosphere. They seem to often have spots when the State Parks are full for those last minute trips.
