Potato Creek SP

We are looking to plan a trip to Potato Creek SP in Indiana. Has anyone stayed there before? We were curious as to whether or not we need to pay daily entry fees as well as the campground fees. Is that standard at all Indiana SPs?

Thanks

My experience at Brookville Mounds SP, Brookville, IN is that the rearview mirror tag that you get with your site #, length of stay, etc...is your entrance tag. We are waved through with that. Anyone who visits you will have to pay the entrance fee though. I believe this is Indiana SP's policy. We buy an annual pass, which is now $40, because we frequent Brookville and Whitewater so much, even when not camping. Plus, it allows my hubby to come and go because he may need to drive separate because of work and I can be left with a vehicle and rearview tag.

We had the chance to stay at Potato Creek last fall. It was a great place to stay...the sites were large...the park had a great bike path. Overall, we really enjoyed the park. We will be visiting again in early June.

All Indiana Department of Natural Resources parks charge an entrance fee of $5 daily, $7 if out of state. If you are camping, you only pay this once upon arrival. As CruzinKim stated, your camping permit will allow you to come and go as you please during your stay. I haven't camped at Potato Creek but have heard many nice things about it. Enjoy your stay, Terry

Even when camping, they charge us an entrance fee for the 1st day.

I live near Potato Creek SP and it is a very nice park. Nice campground & great bike trails. There's a lake with a boat launch. You can rent row boats and canoes after Memorial Day or just fish from shore.
