Rocky Gap State Park, MD

Hello, anybody ever camped at the Rocky Gap State Park campground in western MD? I see they only have electric. My family has tent camped there before but I have never been there and was thinking of going later this year with the camper.

Just wondering how the bathhouses were and if there was any other info you could provide? Thanks...

We stayed there early this season. I can't remember what loop it was, but first loop on the left. We didn't have the best experience there, however we only stayed for two nights on our way back from VA and it was before Memorial day. The shower house was nice and they kept it clean. Our site had quite a bit of trash all over it when we got there, so that was pretty frustrating. The site was not paved and pretty unlevel, but with a 4.5" lift on one side I was able to get level. There are a few hikes within a few miles of the campground though that made it nice. I would probably give it another shot if I were passing through but wouldnt have high expectations.

Been through there a bunch of times but never stayed. Go to Hancock and stop at the diner and get something to eat! Love that place.

I have tent camped there as well. My favorite part was throwing the kayaks in the lake and paddling to the other end of the lake where the Rocky Gap casino is. We just pulled the kayaks up on shore and there is a little bar there. Drink some drinks and paddle back. Lots of fun.
