S.NJ campgrounds

My family and I are huge advocates of Cherrystone CG in Va. We go for a week each summer, but I would like to use the camper a little more as we get more free time. Anyone know of any good campgrounds around the S. New Jersey area. Ive been trying to get to Four Seasons, but havent yet. That is the only on that I know of

Thx for any input

TJ

Things are really changing at Cherrystone. This past 4TH of July a lot of us had our trucks broken into.Wading River is nice for a canoe trip.Unfortunately campgrounds in NJ leave a lot to be desired.

I`ve been to Cherrystone as well. I prefer Kiptopeke SP only a few miles south. We also like Tall Pines CG, a few miles north. These of course are in Va and do not help the OP question but I thought I would throw them in the mix.

Holly Shores Camping Resort

I camped at Holly Shores Camping Resort in 2008. It's a few miles north of Cape May on US-9. You're not on the beach but the beaches of Wildwood and Cape May are close by. The site I had was roomy and the majority of sites are well shaded. There was a paved bike trail nearby that went all the way to Cape May. I had an enjoyable stay except for the mosquitoes- but that seems to be a problem no matter where you camp on the coast. I'd camp at Holly Shores again.

I haven't been to Cherrystone in a long, long time. But when I used to go there back in the 90's it seemed that each year, more and more campsites were getting converted into rental cabins.
