First trip to Savannah, Georgia. Took the Greyhawk into the old historic district with some trepidation as I've been piloting it less than a year and was concerned about getting around and especially parking. I was very happy to find the
Savannah Visitors information Center on Martin Luther King Blvd. has RV-specific parking spaces, extra long and wide. Had no trouble at all backing the Greyhawk into one. We stayed about 5-6 hours and I was surprised to find out the parking tab was only $4.
I was also concerned about going down some of the streets as they are lined with stately old oaks draped with Spanish moss. Wasn't sure if we'd fit but saw the local tourist trolleys plying those streets and figured we'd be okay, too.
I wonder if there are other towns which have RV parking conveniently located within walking distance of their main tourist attractions?
