Should I or Shouldn't I?

I am currently in a state park and just woke up to a thunderstorm. It wasn't the storm that woke me actually it was the fact that I was getting hot - power is out. Now should I really tick off my neighbors in tents and trailers with no generators by firing mine up? It is built in and very quiet, but this park is quiet as a tomb right now.
Decisions.

I thought about it too long and went back to sleep. When I woke up this morning power was back on and all was well. I still didn't hear any generators during the first part of the outage. It was off a bit over three hours per an electric clock on board.

Before starting a genny, I think I would have first tried opening the windows and (if your unit is equipped with one) crank up the Fantastic (or whose ever brand you own) fan being that it runs on 12V. But, then again, you're reading this from a person who runs A/C using the "uncle" method- we never turn the A/C on until someone hollers "Uncle!". However, we haven't used the "uncle" much since we got a cat. Happiness is a cool kitty.

The State and National Parks I go to have "quiet hours" which are usually between 10pm and 7 or 8am which means no generator, blaring bee bop radio or any other noise louder than a normal conversation. Don't know what the penalties would be, if there are penalties, but I am sure you may get a visit from your friendly Park Ranger (or unfriendly neighbors).

At my seasonal camp site, NO unnessary sounds from 11:00 PM until 9:00 AM. This includes generators, blaring music, vehicles with broken mufflers, etc. etc. In reality, NO loud sounds until ater 10:00 AM - which is fine with me....

Same up here, generators are off at 10.00PM-7.00 AM, plus loud noise in our Provincial Campgrounds. Penalty? You will be escorted out of the park. I have seen it done.
