Silverton CO Campgrounds

I'm looking for campgrounds around Silverton than have elec., water, dump station. We would like a little privacy, in otherwords, we don't want to be in a parking lot type CG w/o trees. I've done a little research and there seems to be alot of private owned CGs (parking lots) in town but that's about it. My Father use to take us to South Mineral CG many years ago but there doesn't seem to be any electricity there. Any ideas JOF Members?

Thanks,
WKC

We were just out in the area over the summer. From what we saw, the private campgrounds tend to be like a parking lot. We ended up in Durango and stayed at United Campground - definately a parking lot. Next time we're out that way we're going to try Alpine Rose or Lightner Creek. Have you thought about dry camping for a few days?

We're kinda in planning stages for next year mtn_bikers. Thanks for your input! We've never dry camped before but isn't out of the question. I'm not sure, but do the CO State Parks not provide electricity, water, and dump stations? Please bare with me, I haven't been to CO in over 35yrs. Very excited to get back there in our new TT!!!!
