Has anyone camped in the area of Soutwestern Utah? If so, any rcommendations? We don't mind dry camping "Boondocking".

We camped in Quail Creek State Park which is just west of Hurricane, Utah. Was a nice campground. Sites weren't very big but were adequate. it was dry camping on the banks of a reservoir. We were there in the winter and it was pretty warm then. This time of year I would expect it to be HOT. You had to go to a sister campground to dump your tanks. It was called Sand Hollow State Park. The area is near St. George, so there are plenty of resources for anything you need. Also cell service is excellent there. Unlike areas north and east of there. Lots of state parks in the area!!!

If you like animals there are two (and only two) rv spots at a place called Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, UT. Beautiful place with a lot of solitude and to make it better, you can volunteer at Best Friends. They also really appreciate volunteers.
