Upcoming Trips

Hello all!
Picking up our new 314BDS in April and have our 1st trip planned for the end of May. We are trying a few new places this year. One will be Flat Rock in Lebanon Maine. The other 2 will be Sea Vue in Wells Maine (I believe) and then Danforth Bay here in NH. Haas anyone stayed at any of these cg's? Any opinions on them good or bad?

Thanks

I live in Rochester, NH and within 5 minutes of Flat Rock but have never stayed there...too close to home.

We went to Danforth Bay last year at the end of October, and are returning for Columbus Day this year. We have friends who have gone there for years and they love it. It is a beautiful place (especially in the fall) with lots to do, and most sites are good size. They have a good website where you can see a view of each campsite, one looking in and the other looking out.

If you have a boat, you can launch at Danforth Bay and follow channels to Ossipee Lake.

Yes, Flat Rock from Nashua is about 1.5 hours. I know other people have gone there and they have enjoyed it, but that was years, and several owners, ago. I have not heard much recently. I've driven by and you can see a water slide and mini golf from the road. I have not been in the campground, but it looks a little dated from the road. Not much to do in the immediate Lebanon/Rochester area, though Milton Lake is within 10 miles, and there is a great ice cream place (Lone Oak) within a mile or two.

By the way, I have an '02 Kiwi 23B.

It's been over 15 years since we camped up in the North Eastern US. I wish we could get back there. Some day... Have fun

We stopped over at Danforth Bay and found the campground and the over 55 section "The Bluffs" very nice. But were we there off season and had the place to ourselves so cannot comment on activities or how it is when the campground is crowded. Since you are camping in May, have you considered Meredith Woods which has an indoor pool? We may head there in April. It is connected to Clear Water, which is lake front and you can uses their facilities also. I am hoping that the snow melts before June! My MH is still blocked in by snow!
