W. Lafayette IN to Niagara Falls to Atlanta-tour ideas

We're renting a Class A this summer for about a 12 day family tour. We're starting our tour in W. Lafayette IN, going to Niagara (prob through Detroit, already been to Cedar Point). Would like to stay in campgrounds as much as possible, but will need hookups (and 50A?). I'd love suggestions on what to see and where to stay. Atlanta is home, so the sightseeing part is mainly up north. We just have to come back to Atlanta to get home :-)

There are two 50 somethings, and our three kids (oldest is 26, youngest is 15).
Fire away!

If you're going via Detroit, you could stay at Camp Dearborn in Milford, MI and get some discounted tickets to go to the Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village and/or Ford Rouge Plant tour (all in Dearborn, MI). Google any of those for further info. I've been to all three (grew up 10 minutes from those three).
