19H F250, we visited family staying at Long Island Bridge last summer. Nice place, you should have a nice time. Nylyon, Lake George RV Resort is one of our favorite campgrounds. Wish we were there for the holiday. We are on Cape Cod this weekend and then staying at Normandy Farms in Foxboro,Ma for the holiday. We had to be close to home and wanted a campground with an indoor pool. So far we have had a cold wet spring so didn't want to take any chances with the weather.

I have heard some great things about Normandy but we have yet to get there. Enjoy your stay!

Don't know when your Memorial Day weekend is in the US, but our Victoria Day weekend here in Canada starts on the 21st. and watching the news last night a lot of the campgrounds here in Alberta will be closed due to snow. I presume that other provinces will have similar closures due to flooding. This has been the worst winter we have had in years.I hate winter!!!!! I would have been staying home regardless as I am not a long weekend camper and being mostly retired I can go whenever I want.

Well, were going to be at Hill Country RV in New Braunsfels, Texas, but DW just informed me that we don't have $$$ for gas to get there, so had to cancel reservation this morning. Really sux being unemployed and unable to afford maiden voyage.

Found a cancellation. Looks like the driveway is out! This will our first trip on a holiday weekend. We always avoided them in the past.

We have reservations outside Destin at Topsail Hill Preserve at the end of July... As for Memorial Day weekend, Crawfords Campground in Murphy, NC... http://www.crawfordsattellico.com/, its just outside the entrance to the Tellico OHV area near Tellico Plains Tennessee... But for me, it all about the solitude, mountains and trout fishing ;-)...

Well, good news! On our maiden voyage now and loving it!!! Only went 35 miles from home, but set up and enjoying the life for a few days...gonna head home Friday morning to miss all the chaos. Little RV resort called Houston East RV Resort...very nice, cozy little place with friendly owner/operators and even friendlier guests! I love this!!!

Heading to Jim Creek. It is a Naval recreation area and has really good reviews. My 18 year old daughter is coming up to spend the weekend with us. Only about 2-3 hours north of here so no stress taking off in the afternoon tomorrow after getting all the prep done. Luckily I have a four day weekend. I will definitely post some pics when we come back. Everyone be safe and let us not forget why we have the freedom to travel like we do. God Bless the Troops and all their families.
