Boondocking Central Texas

Howdy, friends. We have camped in several of the beautiful Texas state parks.

Now we are interested in venturing out into more secluded and quiet destinations.

Anyone have recommendations for central Texas area?

Many thanks,
Dave

Dave,

Try Shaffer Bend on FM 1431 about 5 miles East of Marble Falls. Quiet, beautiful and lots of wildlife.

Let us know when you're there and we'll try to cross paths.

These areas seem to be hard to come by in Texas. Did you have any luck finding some?

Here is a list I found doing a search of BLMs in Texas.
Hope this helps.

I typed in blm in Texas on that page but just get COE parks, most of which seem to be developed parks.
