Im debating purchasing the champion duel fuel 3800 watt generator and I was wondering if anyone has one and set it to run off the propane bbq quick disconnect on there trailer. Also if you have one just how loud is it?

I can tell you that it's too loud to use in a campground. If you were out in the "boonies", about 5 miles from the nearest camper, it would be a great gennie .

I think I may go with the champion power equipment 3100 watt inverter in that case.

I have the 3100. It runs my 15K BTU AC just fine. I think it is pretty quiet as well.

Ended up biting the bullet on a Honda EU2000I,I figure 1 should run everything minus the A/C.Later on down the road I'll pick up the EU2000I companion and a parallel kit.

The dual Honda's is what I use. VERY pleased with the results.

Before Easter I bought a Champion 3100/2800 watt Inverter/Generator at Costco after doing some research. Champion has a good warranty and part are available for all their units they sell. After putting oil and gas in it, it started at the first pull. Got already 12 hours runtime on the unit and is very quiet (57db)and performs very well even tested the A/C with it. It sure beats the price by far of Yamaha and Honda. But every one its own!

Not to mention the Costco warranty!

I have an old Champion contractor grade gen that I use for emergencies only. 10+ years old and it still starts on the first pull every time..

Just ordered the Champion 3100 watt from Costco to replace a 3000 watt Honda.... The Honda is virtually bullet proof but it is getting heavier every year. ( or am I getting weaker) Time will tell if this is a mistake. Lot of good things said about the Champion 3100. Have a 2000 watt Champion that is somewhat under powered but runs well and is certainly easier to move around.
