Honda 7000 watt fuel injected generator
Just wondering if anyone owns this generator, and how they like it. Im looking at getting one for my rv and also for home backup. I looked at this model in the store today and liked what I saw. Honda has a good promotion through the end of this month, and am really considering buying this model. Any likes or dislikes about it?

Can't speak to the 7000 but I have a Honda 5000 electric start that starts first pull every time. (no battery now but I fire it a couple times a year) I used it to power a cabin in Northern Idaho for years in below zero weather. It now lives here in NM for just in case. It's too heavy to haul for the 5er but I have thought about a permanent bed mount in my TV. Honda makes great stuff but you'll pay a bit more.
Mines carb'd so the injected should be great.

I am also looking at the EU7000is, What promotion are you referring to? It seems as most places are selling the unit for $3999.00, some are offering 18 months no interest financing.

We have the 7000 we use for emergency power at home. It has been great so far with about 20 hours of use. It is very quite and starts easy.
I would like to use it with the 5th wheel but I think it's too tall to be in the bed of the truck when hitched up.

That's the same price and months I was referring to, but the 18 month option is up at the end of the month I thought, but I could be mistaken.

The Honda EU7000is is the replacement for the EU6500is. I bought the EU6500is three years ago to power my fifth wheel, and I have been nothing but pleased with it.
When I bought my EU6500is, the best price I could find anywhere was at Max Tool in California. Max Tool currently has the EU7000is listed for $3899.99 with no tax and free shipping.

I have an eight foot box, but didn't realize this generator was so high. Was thinking I could just tie it down in front of pickup box, but the front lip of fiver might get close to it on short turns. Fiver sits 6 to 7 inches above pickup box. It's hard to know if it'd work without seeing it. I have an eagle series fifth wheel so the basement doors aren't high like the premiers, so I think putting it in basement is out. Trailer is at dealer and don't own the generator so I'm just estimating dimensions of fit.

I think my next choice would be to run two 2000 watts in parallel. Losing lots of power but we could get by I'm sure. I want the 7000 to double as a home backup gen, but if I can't haul it on the road with us it really isnt justifiable. Lots of choices out there, I want to make the right choice the first time.

I have two Honda 2000 gens that I used for my prior fifth wheel. It was a 30amp so it was enough to power that rig. They are so easy to move around and in the winter time I only need to carry one cause I don't need the a/c. Nothing but good to say about those little Honda Generators.
I am intrigued by this 7000 that could power our whole new 50 amp rig....

I see the honda 3000is can be paralleled. From what I understand, you would need the kit with the 50 amp plug to get full power out of the pair though being the plug on the gen is only rated for 23 or something, is this correct? I'm wondering if the kit is still available, every place I've checked is out of stock. Anyone use a pair of 2000 models through a transfer switch for home backup?

Wana Engine Center in Indiana has them for $3779.00 with free shipping if you do not need liftgate service and no tax if you live outside of Indiana. It's $50.00 more for liftgate service. Honda's website shows them as an authorized dealer, but they do not appear to offer the 18 month financing.

I believe that the pair of EU2000s will only give you 4000 watts at 110V with the parallel kit. You will not be able to get 220V out of that setup.
