I just took a huge gamble and bought a 2007 JAYCO SENECA HD with 109k miles on it that was really used and abused. But I love it and it was the only one I've found that I could afford. The previous owner lived in it full time with five dogs. If something broke, he jerry rigged it instead of properly repairing it. It passed a safety inspection - even the tires passed and they are 9 years old. It was sold "as is" but I bugged the dealer until they fixed some of the things. Couldn't get an extended warranty due to the high mileage. I got it for comfort and safety and so I could boondock.
I have a lot to learn about boondocking. Like how do you keep warm on cold nights? I have solar on it. That's all I know - that there is solar on it and it is charging. I didn't get a very thorough walk through of it so I'm lost as to what a lot of things are and what they do.

If you don't have a generator then you may want to put one on your wishlist. This will take care of the power required to run the furnace on those cold nights.

Welcome, don't know if you got manuals with your new rig but there maybe info in these Jayco RV Owners Forum - Manuals
they explain how the different systems work though not specific to your SENECA, they are all similar and you may find manuals that match your stove, fridge, water heater, etc.

...and WELCOME TO JOF!!! The members here are GREAT!!! There is a lot of GREAT information to be found here. I am sure that you will have information and pictures to share with us... so please do!!
Start a "ToDo" list and hang it in the RV... it is a GOOD feeling to start crossing off the things you corrected. First I would start with the tires.. safety first.

Take time to learn the systems in your rig. Read, ask and get experience.
Take the advice given on tires and safety. Those tires need to be inspected and may be a necessary expense.

Welcome aboard! We haven't boondocked yet, but the" five dog" thing sounds like a good way to keep warm on cold nights. We don't camp past a "Three Dog Night"
