Can't believe I missed this thread!

DW thinks Boondocking is going somewhere in the trailer that doesn't have sewer hookup! LOL!

Personally, I'm happy to throw on the 'ol pack and hike off a day or two into the back country and find a stream or lake with some fish. See ALL the stars, breathe the clean air, not hear another human voice for a week, or only those few with you, not hear a motor, or see an artificial light other than a small flashlight. That's always been "camping" to me.

Now, it's true, I don't miss worrying about my next water source or digging cat holes, but some things are just worth it sometimes.

With all that being said, I LOVE my trailer, and I proudly wear the "glamping" badge! There's a lot to be said for a warm/cool place to lay my head at night, and a fridge full of my favorite foods with a magnificent view right outside, and a hot cup of coffee easily at hand when I wake up in the morning.

So the way I see it, so long as I'm out there, I'm livin' the good life. I've camped and glamped and made memories all the way up and down the scale, and I wouldn't trade a single one of those moments for anything.

I can't believe you dusted it off after 4 months.

Especially since the glamping season is pretty much over for those of us north of Florida!

I thought it was a good thread, worthy of a dust off. We don't really have an "off-season" down here as far as camping is considered! The only reason we stop in the Spring is because of work. But we make the best of the Fall, when our work schedule allows a bit more freedom, and the camping is quite good!

I guess July and August could be considered a bit of an "off-season" because it's just so darn hot. But we'll still go even then if we can. Good Shore Power is an absolute must during that time, 'cuz the AC doesn't stop running!

1 - 11, except #10, we don't use a generator, in other words we've done all of the above. I have no need to dry camp or tent or portage across land bridges anymore. I have nothing to prove to anyone, I just want to relax when we go now.

Here is an article titled Basic tips for "dry camping" with a nice description.

Ummm that wasn't supposed list of accomplishments. It was a rating scale with quite a bit of silliness thrown in. As in "On a scale of one to ten, how tough was the steak?"

I included zero and eleven for fun.
