Choosing the right asking price...

Hi- There's a good chance we'll need to sell our Travel Trailer. My husband is being transferred to NC (from NJ). We'll have to rent an apartment for a while then shop for a home. I don't know that we'll be able to get the trailer down there, let alone have a place to keep it.
My question is, how does one go about knowing how to price one for resale? Is there a Kelly Blue Book equivalent for RVs? Is it pretty accurate? Thanks!

Yes, I have seen a website online for RVs. Try Kelly Blue book or do a google search for RV bluebooks. Once you know what you can ask for it, Try selling to a dealer if your just looking to unload it. RVtrader.com is another, just watch out for the scams. The NADA online guide will give you the retail value.

Your bank or credit union should also have the quarterly NADA book for RVs, which have both the retail and wholesale values.

I've always had luck just looking at what others are asking. Go on craigslist or rv trader to get an idea of what asking price should be. If you want to unload it quick, just make it a little less than the others for sale. If you have some time, list around the same price as others and stay firm. It's good to know what it's worth with nada or similar, but also to know what fair market actually is based on what others are selling for. My side business/hobby is buying and selling stuff, usually works well for me.
